About the event

Explore the vibrant and dynamic world of "Art Embedded" through various levels of the biomedical research space. This exhibition blends art and science through the work of visionary undergraduate artists created over the last four years of the VI4 Artist in Residence program. These budding creatives have taken inspiration from cutting-edge scientific research, delved deep into the natural world's mysteries, and crafted visual representations for the essence of scientific discovery. From the intricate details of cellular structures to the vast expanses of the cosmos, these works bring to life the beauty and complexity of the hall of the School of Medicine Basic Science research buildings. Additionally, viewers can engage with the art through augmented reality elements developed by the student curators. With an innovative and communicative approach to art, the exhibit is a must-see for anyone inspired by the fusion of science and creativity. An extension of the exhibition will be hosted in the Vanderbilt Gallery, a key collaborator who has helped bring to life the skill and imagination of these artists as they transport you to a world of curiosity and discovery.
